Over the past 8 years, I’ve grown my passions and developed my crafts in design. Some of this has been drawn from my personal, life experiences.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling. During my undergrad, I participated in a study abroad program, backpacking through Europe for four months. The opportunity allowed me to see different colleges, learn from different professors, and view urban and natural spaces in architecture that helped shape my influence and inspiration. This experience was life-changing. Through it, I discovered the importance of having moments of micro-inspiration, and how to find those moments in everyday life that could inspire my design.

One of my inspirational figures is the Japanese architect, Kazuyo Sejima. Her work focuses on the relationship between people and their atmosphere and environment. She uses space as a means of providing experience. Through her architecture she expresses people’s activities rather than the form or shape of the building itself. This is a powerful idea for using space and design, and it can translate to the digital sphere as one focuses on the individual experience and engagement.
